Is your trust compliant?
Trustworks can help
Trustworks is a New Zealand company that has set out to resolve the major issue of compliance of family trusts.
We’re also making trusts easy to manage and delivering secure storage for all your important information for the life of your trust.
Trustworks is unique in that it links all the other parties involved in the trust, other non-professional trustees and the trust's lawyer, accountant or professional manager.
As a cloud-based product, as long as you have an internet connection, you can use Trustworks, 24 hours a day from wherever you are in the world. It’s easy and intuitive to use and there’s no software to buy or install - just log on and instantly start creating a more compliant trust.
You can start or take part in discussions then create, accept or reject resolutions. You’ll also be prompted with the tasks you need to perform, and you can even sign documents online. Your professional advisors will also be able to easily review every action to ensure everything is in order.
Trustworks helps you at every step of the way with tips from Martin Hawes, and you can also invite your professional advisors into discussions at any time to seek their advice and help.
All the people involved in the trust will be looking at the same documents, so there’s no risk of somebody not having access to important documents or looking at outdated versions.
Trustworks automatically keeps comprehensive records of everyone’s actions to do with the Trust in line with the recent Law Commission recommendations.
Whether it’s in 20 minutes or 20 years time, your wishes as a trustee are still clearly outlined in order to be carried out, and the trustees will have long-term control of the trust's records and documents, even if you change advisors.
Having a well managed trust and keeping accurate records could be critical to protecting your trust from ever being overturned. Trust documents should be kept for the life of the trust - up to 80 years. Keeping this important information on paper or hard drives for this period risks exposure to floods, fire, earthquakes and more. A loss of information in just one location could leave the trust's records incomplete. Using Trustworks means that all the records are automatically backed up using top-level security and encryption.
There’s no upfront cost for subscribing to use Trustworks, and one subscription covers all the people involved in the trust.
Trustworks will help to ensure that your trust can achieve its goals, whatever they are.
Trustworks subscriptions need to include the involvement of a professional advisor, it's not a "do it yourself" product for trust administration. Our aim is to offer a better collaboration between all parties involved to improve compliance and management.
Once the correct subscription is selected for your trust(s) (2 party or Unlimited), then you will be invited into Trustworks and will be able to see the trusts and be involved discussions, access documents, and create, accept or reject resolutions etc.
We are more than happy to contact your lawyer / accountant or trust manager to discuss them using Trustworks with them. Could you please let us know the details of the professionals you use.
Please note. Connectworks (the developer of Trustworks) is a software company-only. We do not manage trusts or provide legal advice.
Ask your trust's accountant, lawyer or manager about subscribing to Trustworks today.
Trustworks believes that effective trust management should involve professionals, so we do not have a do-it-yourself plan for non-professional trustees.
There are two plans that involve trustees, which are priced depending on the anticipated level of activity for the trust.
This is best for active trusts with all parties engaged. The cost is $98+ GST per trust, per annum for unlimited access by all parties - non-professional trustees, professional trustees, accountant, lawyer or trust manager.
TWO PARTY PLAN
Best for when only 2 parties are engaged. e.g. your accounting or law firm. The cost is $65+ GST per trust, per annum for unlimited access by two parties. Access covers everyone within the professional firm(s) and contact trustee. Other trustees can approve and sign online, or manually then upload.
Please ask your accountant, lawyer or trust manager about subscribing to Trustworks.
What people say
“There is clearly a need for this type of management system with the changes that are coming. Potentially reduces risks for lawyer/accountant/trustees. „Learn more
